Tietje White, R.M.

My heart has been pulled towards midwifery since I was a child. In high school, I was reading pregnancy and midwifery books and devouring birth stories online, knowing that this was my calling.  My journey to becoming a midwife has been rich with life experiences that have increased my compassion and passion for pregnancy, birth and the families I work with.

I wholeheartedly believe my clients know what is best for their health and their families and that each person has the right to make informed choices about their care.  My goal will always be to provide clients with the information they need to make these decisions in a respectful, sensitive manner and to help support an empowering birth experience.  This is what was most important to me in my own pregnancies and I have never felt as strong and capable as I did after birthing each of my babies.

I have four wonderful children, two girls and two boys.  As my youngest began school, the time had finally come for me to pursue my life-long goal of becoming a midwife.  I am a graduate of Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Midwifery degree.

I am overjoyed to be a part of the Briar Hill Midwives team.  I feel deeply blessed and grateful to have the privilege to support and work with families during this powerful and important time in their lives.
