Natalie Beauchamp, R.M.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, I completed my first undergraduate degree in Kinesiology (BHSc). After graduation I knew that I wanted to see more of the world so I travelled and taught English in South Korea. Upon my return I was working in an Obstetricians office and loved meeting all the women. It was the beginning of my journey to becoming a midwife. From the moment I learned what an awesome and multi faceted profession midwifery could be I knew it was the work for me.
I completed my midwifery education (BHSc) at McMaster University in 2007 and spent my first five years of practice in Ontario. I had the opportunity to be on the receiving end of midwifery care in 2011 with the amazing homebirth of my daughter, Neko Rei. Upon return to practice I knew I wanted the opportunity to experience midwifery outside of Ontario and I am so grateful to be a part of Team 2 at Briar Hill Midwives.
I love the daily learning that midwifery brings, the strong relationships that are formed, and the empowering work I get to do every day. This is an awesome journey and I feel so grateful and privileged that so many women have allowed me share in their experiences.
